From Numbers to Action: Strengthening the Athi–Kapiti Landscape

Conservation partners, rangers, researchers, and community stakeholders recently gathered at Lukenya Wildlife Conservancy for the 8th Landscape Wildlife Game Count under the theme, “From Numbers to Action: Securing the Athi–Kapiti Wildlife Corridors.”

The Lazizi Welfare Foundation, together with Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport, proudly participated as a long-term conservation partner, working alongside Maanzoni to advance Project ECO (Ecosystem Conservation & Oversight).

This wildlife-centered initiative emphasizes data-driven monitoring, habitat support, and ecosystem protection — translating research findings into practical conservation action. By strengthening collaborative efforts across the Athi–Kapiti landscape, Project ECO aims to enhance biodiversity protection and secure vital wildlife corridors for future generations.
