Donating :

How can I make my donation?

You can make your donation via our secure online platform found on our website.  You can access it by clicking here.  Or if you wish to make a bank transfer please find our bank account details on that page.  Alternatively, if you are visiting any of our support properties, speak to the Property Manager.  For every donation you will make – monetary or in-kind you will be issued with a Lazizi Welfare Foundation donation receipt.

Is there a minimum donation?

No, any amount can make a difference.

Do you charge an administrative fee for donations?

No, 100% of your donation goes directly to your chosen project, as all administrative and operational costs of the Foundation are already covered by The Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport, The Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara Safari Camp and JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge.

What can I bring?

For our schools:  education and school supplies such as solar lanterns, stationery, story books, soccer balls and kits, first aid and hygiene products such as sanitary pads, toothbrush and toothpaste are always needed.

For our medical support program items like first aid kits, stethoscopes, bandages, portable blood pressure machines, ENT torches for our supported health facility at the Masai Mara.  .  For more information, visit the individual school pages  and medical support page

Are there luggage restrictions?

Yes. Please note that a strict 15 kg luggage restriction is imposed by our internal flight operators. If you find you must exceed this limit, we offer to securely hold your donation items here in Nairobi and will arrange for their delivery to the relevant schools or projects as soon as possible.

Will I get updates on my donation?

As a token of our gratitude, you will receive a ‘thank you’ letter for every contribution. When you donate physical goods, we include photos of the items being received by the community to show you the direct impact. How will I know that my donation has been received by my intended beneficiaries?

After your donation is delivered to the project, the receiving head teacher or designated personnel will sign and stamp an acknowledgement of receipt. We are pleased to provide you with a copy of this official letter upon request.

Is there an option of making monthly/yearly donations?

We have no restrictions whatsoever, you can make your donation whichever way is comfortable for you.  You can write to us to inform us of your donation remittance plan.

How are we funded?

The Lazizi Welfare Foundation is funded by The Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport, The Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara Safari Camp, and JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge as part of their long-term commitment to responsible tourism and community development. These properties cover the Foundation’s administrative and operational costs, enabling 100% of all donations and partnership contributions to be directed toward programme delivery. This funding model ensures transparency, accountability and maximum impact for the communities and environments we serve.
